Abstract

Mediastinal abscess as a complication of esophageal perforation is a life-threatening condition with a high risk of developing purulent-septic complications. Late diagnosis and difficulty in choosing the optimal drainage method lead to high mortality rates.
This article presents a clinical case of successful use of endoscopic transluminal drainage for the treatment of chronic mediastinal abscess.
