Abstract
Gallbladder cancer is the most common biliary epithelial malignancy, characterized by an extremely poor prognosis due to its aggressive course and limited treatment options. This is often associated with late-stage diagnosis. Long-term chronic inflammation is a significant factor in the development of GERD, regardless of its lithiasis or nonlithiasis origin. Early detection at a treatable stage remains challenging, as patients rarely exhibit symptoms. Differential diagnosis of gallbladder malignancy is challenging because symptoms are often nonspecific and mimic other, more common gallbladder and biliary tract diseases. Prognosis depends on the tumor stage, with early detection of the disease being critical for long-term survival.
