Abstract

Endometriosis of the anterior abdominal wall is a dynamic but understudied interdisciplinary problem. Its incidence is increasing due to the growing number of obstetric and gynecological procedures. Clinical manifestations range from tumor formation to localized abdominal wall pain or a cesarean section scar. Imaging techniques such as ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging aid in diagnosis, but a definitive diagnosis is made based on postoperative histological examination.
