Abstract

The article presents a rare clinical case of the development of an ovarian apoplexy (hemorrhagic cyst) in a patient on the 17th day after a total laparoscopic hysterectomy with right adnexectomy and left salpingectomy. The situation is complicated by the patient's polymorbid background, including a history of cancer (rectal cancer) and widespread endometriosis. The apoplexy was masked by acute appendicitis and was associated with the clinical picture of local peritonitis, which required a diagnostic laparoscopy. The importance of differential diagnosis of acute gynecological and surgical pathology in patients after recent gynecological operations is emphasized.
