SPONTANEOUS HETEROTOPIC PREGNANCY (CASE REPORT)

Abstract
Spontaneous heterotopic pregnancy, the simultaneous existence of an intrauterine and ectopic pregnancy without the use of assisted reproductive technologies, occurs in approximately 1 in 30000 natural pregnancies. The combination of this condition with high parity, prior salpingo-oophorectomy, and concomitant uterine pathology has been described in the literature in isolated cases.
This clinical case demonstrates a rare combination of spontaneous heterotopic pregnancy, high parity, prior removal of contralateral adnexa, and concomitant uterine fibroids. Timely transvaginal ultrasound, including mandatory examination of all adnexa, even in cases of confirmed intrauterine pregnancy, is crucial for early diagnosis. A single-stage laparoscopic procedure allows for the safe removal of all three pathological components.
