COMMITMENT OF WOMEN OF FERTILE AGE IN THE KRASNOYARSK TERRITORY TO IMMUNIZATION AGAINST RUBELLA (DATA FROM A SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY)

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to evaluate the commitment of women of fertile age in the Krasnoyarsk Territory to immunization against rubella.
Materials and methods. Evaluation of data from a sociological study of women of fertile age in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, conducted through anonymous online questionnaires in Google forms. The data was processed using descriptive and analytical statistical methods.
Results. Evaluation of the study results showed that childhood rubella virus vaccination coverage, knowledge of their vaccine status, and revaccination coverage for women of fertile age in the region are at a low level. An analysis of their awareness of TORCH infections showed that they were poorly informed about the negative effects of infections on fetal development. Women in the under-30 age group are the main risk group. An assessment of the commitment of fertile women in the region to revaccination against rubella in the group of women planning their first child showed low coverage of revaccination with a high level of ignorance on this issue; one in ten categorically refuses revaccination. In the group of women who already have a child, there is also a low coverage of revaccination and insufficient awareness, one in six women categorically refuses revaccination.
Potential obstacles to revaccination of fertile women of the Krasnoyarsk Territory from rubella virus have been identified. Potential psychological (fear of vaccinations) and informational obstacles (low medical literacy) for revaccination of fertile women of the Krasnoyarsk Territory from rubella virus have been identified. Recommendations have been developed to improve approaches to information, educational and organizational work on rubella vaccination among women of fertile age in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Conclusion. Based on the results of the study, approaches to improving vaccine prevention and a systematic information and educational campaign among women of fertile age and in medical organizations of the Krasnoyarsk Territory are proposed. Such approaches will help solve the problem of low commitment of women of fertile age in the region to immunization against rubella.
