Abstract
The aim of the study – to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of a combination of phytopharmaceuticals from local Altai raw materials as a rehabilitation therapy and preconception preparation in patients after an unviable pregnancy/early sporadic miscarriage.
Materials and methods. A prospective open-label observational study was conducted in a group of patients of reproductive age (n = 39) who had experienced early reproductive loss before 9.6 weeks of gestation, before and after a 15-day course of rehabilitation with GynecoNorm phytophytocapsules taken orally in combination with Gynecozol vaginal suppositories as part of preconception preparation after an initial examination. The effectiveness was evaluated after 1, 3, 6 months by studying the morphofunctional potential of the endometrium based on ultrasound data during the II phase of the menstrual cycle, the condition of the vaginal biotope (pH, smear microscopy), and the realization of reproductive function.
Results and discussion. After the course of phytotherapy, a significant improvement in the endometrial condition (an increase of >2 mm) was observed in 65.2% of patients (p = 0.028), with an average increase in M-echo of 2.2 ± 0.1 mm. The frequency of severe vaginal dysbiosis decreased from 33.3% to 5.1% (p = 0.005). Six months after the study, pregnancy occurred in 15.4% of patients.
Conclusion. The combined course of pre-conception preparation with Altai phyto-complexes demonstrated high efficiency in restoring the morphofunctional potential of the endometrium and vaginal biotope, which is a key factor for successful conception. The proposed scheme is safe, well-tolerated, and can be recommended for implementation in practice as a component of a rehabilitation program after early reproductive losses.
