CHRONIC CERVICITIS AS A RISK FACTOR FOR CERVICAL CANCER (CLINICAL CASE)

Abstract
The incidence of cervical cancer remains high in Russia. It is known that the violation of the morphofunctional properties of tissues due to inflammatory processes in a chronic course is an important factor in the development of neoplasia. However, this issue remains unresolved, since many authors focus on recognizing only the main role of HPV oncogenic types in the pathogenesis of dysplasia and cervical cancer and refute reports of the involvement of bacterial and other viral infections in the development of neoplastic processes of the cervix. This article describes a clinical case of the outcome of chronic cervicitis in a woman with squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix.
