Abstract

Polemical article is devoted to the analysis of contemporary issues in the provision of primary health care for children and training of graduates of pediatric faculties of medical universities to work as a district pediatrician. In the article the author presents his point of view on what should be the priority of conversion in the areas of medical education and health crisis of the state in which are now children's healthcare and graduate medical education

Chernaja Natalia Leonidovna
MD, PhD, professor, head of department of polyclinic pediatrics.

She is the honored doctor of the Russian Federation, the “Outstanding Health Care Worker”, the pediatrician of the highest qualification category. She is a member of the Upper Volga branch of Russian Ecological Academy, a member of the working group of the Commission on Pediatrics of the Expert Council of Russian Ministry of Health, the non-staff Chief Pediatric Specialist at the Health Department of the Yaroslavl region, a member of the Public Council under the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Yaroslavl region, a Chairman of regional branch of the Russian Association for School and University Medicine and Health. She is also a member of the Coordinating Council for Demographic Policy of the Yaroslavl region, a member of the Editorial Board of the “Russian Journal of Pediatrics” and “School and University Medicine and Health” journals.

She is an author of more than 200 scientific and 30 academic works, 1 invention, co-author of 2 monographs. She has taught 6 Candidates and 2 Doctors of Sciences.
