Abstract
The aim of the research – to conduct an analytical review of modern sources of scientific literature covering the treatment of type 1 diabetes at the stage of pregnancy planning, during pregnancy and after childbirth.
Materials and methods. The analysis of 56 domestic and foreign literature sources on this topic was carried out.
Results. Based on the results of the analysis of scientific data, the concept of the treatment of type 1 diabetes before and during pregnancy has been updated.
Conclusion. Type 1 diabetes mellitus is associated with adverse outcomes for fetal matter, but timely pre-conception preparation and therapy during pregnancy can reduce these risks.
