COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF IMMEDIATE AND LONG-TERM RESULTS OF HERNIATION BY THE METHOD OF «ONSTEP» AND I.L. LICHTENSTEIN IN ADULTS

Abstract
Aim – of the study was a comparative assessment of the immediate and long-term results of herniation by I.L. Lichtenstein and ONSTEP in adult patients with inguinal hernias.
Materials and methods. 57 patients were operated by ONSTEP method and 54 patients by I.L. Lichtenstein method from February 2016 to October 2018 in «Novokuznetsk city clinical hospital N 22», in the period from February 2016 to October 2018.
Results. The study analyzed 61 operations by the method of ONSTEP, 57 operations by the method of I. Lichtenstein.
Such criteria as age, body mass index significant statistical differences in the groups were not obtained. Statistically significant differences were obtained in the comparison group of criteria of the obtained results.
Conclusion. Less pronounced pain syndrome in the early postoperative period, the absence of chronic postoperative pain syndrome in the long term after surgery.
