POSSIBILITIES OF APPLICATION OF THE ADAPTED SF-36 QUESTIONNAIRE IN THE PEDIATRIC POPULATION

Abstract
The Sf-36 is a General questionnaire used for the study of quality of life (QOL) in adults. Its use is allowed in adolescents older than 14 years. The youngest age category, some questions posed difficulties, leading to the loss of the main indicators of the objectivity of the study: sensitivity, reliability, validity.
The aim of the study – the proposed us version of the Sf-36 questionnaire with some simplifications in matters, without modifying the original ideology, in children of different age groups.
Materials and methods. The present study included 42 patients who received surgical treatment about the disease, Legg calve-Perthes (BLK).
Results. We obtained significant improvement in QOL depending on the time elapsed since the operation. No issue has caused difficulties from the interviewed patients. The younger age group was uchitany as indicators of self-report and proxy-report.
Conclusions. The use of an adapted version of the questionnaire Sf-36 are valid in the pediatric population, enables the objectiveness of the comparison of QOL in children younger and older age categories.Keywords

Shabaldin Andrej Vladimirovich
MD, PhD, a leading researcher of the Laboratory of Cell Technologies.
He is a Professor of the Department of Otolaryngology and Clinical Immunology at Kemerovo State Medical University, the Principal Scientific Researcher of Research Institute for Complex Issues of Cardiovascular Diseases, the Principal Scientific Researcher of Kemerovo branch of the Institute of Computational Technologies of SB RAS.
In 1992 he graduated from Kemerovo State Medical Institute. After that he completed clinical residency and postgraduate studies at the Department of Children's Diseases at Kemerovo State Medical Institute. In 1997 he defended his dissertation “Genetic and Phenotypic Features of Immune Development in Children of Early Age Who Live in Kemerovo”.
From 1993 till present he still works at the Russian Academy of Sciences. He has risen from Junior Research Associate to Principal Scientific Researcher.
In 2005 he defended his Doctoral dissertation “Immunogenetic Aspects of Early Ontogenesis”.
Since 2009 till present he still works as a Professor at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Clinical Immunology at Kemerovo State Medical University.
His research directions are: immunoreproduction, immunity in sickly children and chronic children.
He has taught 4 Candidates of Medical Sciences. He also has 187 publications.
The total number of quotations according to the RSCI is 285, a personal h–index is 6.
The Administration of the Kemerovo region has awarded A. V. Shabaldin the medal “For Service to Kuzbass” and “For Worthy Child-Rearing”. In 2000 he was awarded the honorary diploma of Russian Academy of Sciences “For Longstanding Conscientious Labor the Russian Academy of Sciences”.Article Details
